Device not connected, has happened a few times now- very glitchy system. Should not be happening after spending this much money on this system.

The app was working great for 3 months. Now it says Not Connected and I am 1500 miles away. The installer couldn't help me so I am now out the extra money for the wifi thermostat and the $30 per month to connect to my cell phone. Now, I have to pay people in the condo to check on my brand new Trane air conditioner because the app does not work. Frustrating after spending so much money.

Same problem..disconnects frequently, required reboot.. Not the network. Began happening after the last Trane update...

Junk app. System is constantly being disconnected since I installed and set up the Nexia app.

Most of the time the app works great and has for the last few year's. Today the app indicated in history that the a/c had run for today 17 hrs and it was only one pm. This is a first so I'm curious to see what tomorrow's history will be. I hope this is a fluke.

App keeps dropping my Trane thermostat saying it isn't connected. THERMOSTAT IS CONNECTED TO WIFI!!! You need to fix the app which is rudimentary at best. Why is there not an icon to sync the app to the thermostat which would be a BASIC feature??????????????? Love my Trane system but why this APP??? Also, get connected to Alexa.

After latest update 2 days ago, the app now says not connected, yet the thermostat is communicating via WiFi. I cannot make changes via the app on iPhone or iPad. Says it disconnected at 12:35AM because of device event......

The runtime portion of the app says "beta" I know, my question is do they really intend on fixing it or continue to call it "beta" to give them a reason to let it continue in a non working state?

Please fix soon. I get blank screen also and I loved the Nexia App.

This app helps only for “on and off “ remotely . Other features are not easy to use , especially on scheduling and need intuitive UI

I wish it was just a matter of not likening dark mode because with didn’t work, but it’s not. The app simply doesn’t sync with the thermostat. I’ve removed the home and away function, I don’t know how many times and somehow it keeps re-engaging it. Hope you don’t have any issues with your thermostat and have to factory reset it because you’ll have to add it back as a new device and can’t delete your old one. I’m very unimpressed for the price of the products and this mediocre app. Please FIX the app and the horrible restricting UI that’s on the smart thermostats.

This app and the newest Link thermostat are terrible together. Avoid at all cost. Go with the older, cheaper (lower seer) system and avoid the mystery of this “smart” thermostat, that limits your visibility and options. Garbage.

Not all features of the wall unit are in the app, like setting humidity. The biggest issue is there is no way to reconnect when it decides it doesn’t want to work. So it’s just another useless app taking up space. Meanwhile, it’s back to 1995 and going to the wall unit to set the temp. Will never buy Trane again.

Recently received error messages when changing settings but no longer have that issue. Wasn’t an update that resolved it. Posted a bad review and it worked within an hour. Thank you!

Can no longer change fan speed after update so I’m stuck with on fan speed at 50 percent!!!

The user must be alert that when a temperature per given day, and time is saved, that other temperatures of other days and other times are not changed.very

No matter how many updates they do, they can never get it right! Terrible developers. App constantly disconnects and you can’t control the thermostat….WHICH IS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE APP. Go with another company.

The app will no longer connect to my Trane thermostat. Very annoying.

Need to make the interface screen, a darker color. The white screen blind you in the dark of night. The facial recognition never works.

The fellas on your Service crew are always professional, cheerful & ready to assist.

App is always offline despite showing that it is connected. Shows connection from the main display and the router. The app is not connected.

App and thermostat decided to stop communicating and cannot get them to talk again. Very frustrating to find that I can no longer control my HVAC when I travel. Will keep working on it but have spent WAY too much time on it already.

The thermostat is very difficult to program from my iPhone. The History application indicates that our daily high is above 80 f and low of -25. We’ve had the outside thermometer replaced but the problem persists. Called Trane tech support and they were less than helpful. They told me to contact a local dealer/repair company and even after replacing the thermometer the temperature reading were still out of whack. It seems that no one is willing to take responsibility for.

Adding multiple schedules is too complicated or not possible. I much rather use my old Nest thermostat.

The UX360 has a clunky interface. Ecobee has been doing this for years, you should be at least that good. Ditto the iPhone app. But worst of all is NO RUNTIME HISTORY. The app page says it exists but it is not an option on my iPhone. Very disappointing considering the cost.

One of the worst “smart” thermostat can’t be helped by an app that is barely better. The only reason to ever use the thermostat is because hardware lock-in for variable modulating HVAC systems they only work with its proprietary communication protocol. Horrible programming model, the thermostat can’t be set to adapt and learn how long it takes to achieve desired temperatures that even a 20 year old dumb programmable could. Terrible support for vacation mode. No remote sensors. Can’t view or set half of the functionality from the app. Trane would be much better giving up and letting ecobee replace the hardware and software.

Best purchase ever! App is easy to use and the unit has been living up to its name. Nothing better than a Trane!!

App works ok. But need Apple Watch like Ecobee and other modern solutions. If I want to change the temp but may not have easy access to phone, the watch is perfect. Used it most of the time with the Ecobee thermostat.

While it’s nice to be able to make adjustments from the couch or from a remote location, there REALLY should be the option to switch to emergency heat when the temperature drops below freezing.

The thermostat showed alerts and the app did not show these alerts. Being as the app should show what the thermostat shows, I find this a huge defect. As the alert was missed by not being on the app, issues lingered longer than they had to and ended up causing more issues to fix.

Well worth the money when your 1 hour away and your in total control

We appreciate having the basic functions of the app. We noticed that it doesn’t give you adequate/accurate information about the filter. for example our April air 13 is 16 x 20 x 4 and the app only lets you do 16 x 20 x1; every other filter, whatever the size, thickness option is 1 inch. The only option is to check or change the filter every 90 days instead of every six months. If you move the app from where it was downloaded to to your home screen the app quits and you have to download it again. Very annoying

Not connected

Frequently the app shows it is not connected. Thermostat is connected WiFi and the app shows it is not. I have to close the app and start it again and it’s fine. This should not happen. Sometimes when developers treat their apps they just make things worse. SNAFU!

Never seen a mobile app with such a horrible interface for the schedule. Very disappointed

Difficult to get it to work right!

Software is very helpful in monitoring interior temperature and making adjustments when weather conditions change.

This app works good. It’s fairly simple, especially compared to something like the ecobee app which is a good app, but is certainly more complicated than this one. I find the Geo fencing feature to be a little buggy and that it doesn’t always detect when we are home I wish this app would provide more information that is readily available on the thermostat such as on dual fuel systems, what type of fuel is being used in the current run cycle. What percentage is the variable speed fan running at etc.

Like this app but very disappointed that the Trane thermostat it controls does NOT have “Matter” and therefore is NOT compatible with Apple Home, which sadly makes it useless in a smart home.

They need to have an Apple Watch app. It’s the only thing missing. Otherwise app works great and is easy to use.

Notice outdoor temperature can be glitchy at times reading any where from 5 to 10 degrees off. Called my hvac company and installed new outdoor temperature sensor and no change. I have a dual fuel unit, temperature outside was 34 degrees but Trane home app was reading 38 degrees and ten minutes later 43 degrees, but my unit is still burning gas. 20 minutes later sensor is reading 35 degrees. SMH

Would like to see compressor percentage status update more quickly

For the last few updates the app freezes when you try and change the fan mode from “On” to “Auto” used to work just fine.

Difficult to read history. doubt that it accurately reports compression rates. Clunky. Does not include recommendations to improve efficiency etc

The app is awesome my wife needed some heat and did not know how to switch it over I did it remotely and worked great!! Awesome way to keep track of the house temps too.

Geo fencing is limited to small radius. Should extend the to allow for heating and or cooling. Scheduling is not intuitive nor does it allow for easy changes. Very restricted modification.

My experience with this app is limited to thermostat control. It has poor quality compared to other smart thermostat apps such as Nest and Ecobee. In particular, the app is slow and lacks the features of other apps. It is not truly ‘smart’.

I’ve been using Trane Home for over five years and love the system overall. However, the app itself can be quite challenging to use. Programming simple automations is overly complicated, with too many steps and confusing interfaces. It would be great to have a more streamlined setup process. I’ve been hoping for an update to address these issues and am eager to see improvements soon.
